BIOAXIS Healthcare’s Environmental Protection
At BIOAXIS Healthcare we have a dedicated environmental protection policy and encourage all our staff to actively contribute to it.
All our stationary and office supplies are where possible recycled material and chlorine free, rainforest friendly paper. We believe in electronic communication very much in this day and age and try to cut down on all unnecessary marketing or promotional printing. Our newly launche website contains all the information you need about our services and the informative brochures are readily available for download.
Travelling by plane is limited to absolute necessary meetings, we prefer teleconferencing and all the available online communication and presentation tools. Our yearly conference attendance is also limited to a certain number per person.
When it comes to transportation, everyone is encouraged to use public transport and we are proud supporters of the London Cycle Scheme (http://www.cyclescheme.co.uk/), which provides tax free bikes to our employees. Our HCP network travels to appointments by train where possible thus minimizing the use of cars and our carbon footprint.
Recycling office waste is high on the agenda and all our offices around Europe comply with local regulations ensuring that we do not harm the environment. Since 2008 we run a waste management campaign “Yellow bin” educating all HCPs we work with and the patients they visit about the importance of correct disposal of medical equipment (needles, medication bottles and packaging). Every patient is provided a yellow bin where medical and biological waste is collected at home, which is picked up by our dedicated network at arranged times and disposed correctly.
